MSH export problem

Post by Gen.Kenobi »

Hello all,

I have Softimage XSI Mod Tool 6, and the plugin installed, but when i go to export i got a XSI error...Any ideas, what is going on? Or there are any plugins for 3ds max 2009 to export as msh?

I have Windows XP SP3.

Thanks in advance,

As has been stated in about 20 different topics  ... you can't export from XSI modtool directly  . the only XSI version that works with the pandemic exporter is 5.11, which you only get a 30 day free trial before you have to bring out the wallet and pay for it...

the best way to export your model for free would be to use Repsharpshooter's MeshEx(in the assets section).

BTW, i didn't know there was a SP3 for XP :o ....

Just to clarify once again, the Pandemic Tools will install and completely work only with XSI Foundation, Essentials and Advanced versions 4.2, 5.0, 5.01, 5.1 and 5.11.

Version 5.11 is highly recommended because it was more stable and has virtually no bugs unlike other version 5 releases, and it was the last version release from Softimage that worked with the Pandemic Tools.

There is no Foundation 5.11 30 day trial any more unless you manage to get your hands on the trial installer exe which is no longer available from Softimage.com, Foundation was discontinued months ago and is no longer supported by Softimage.
