Weren't the Halo 1 MP sides basically just different colored Spartans shooting each other? That might not work so well for a Battlefront map, or any IA in general when there's going to be lots of AI. It's better to have two teams readily distinguishable from one another. Granted, simple red vs. blue spartans would satisfy that.
Is the point of this project to re-create Halo in Battlefront, or to make a Halo-themed Battlefront map? Because if it's the latter you could definitely change Blood Gulch however you see fit, imho.

Yes the Multiplayer side are going to be used for CTF only. Units from the Halo CE Campaign will be used in conquest mode.
