Placing fire effects?
I checked the everything thread and searched, but I couldn't find anything. Basically I have a map coming up that would benefit hugely from having a few fire effects placed here and there. Is there any simple (if not, is there any complicated) way of doing this? Thanks in advance!

Place an object. Attach an effect to that object.
Effects attach to hardpoints. Most people will tell you to get the geo_ or kas_prop_splash object, which is already set up for attaching effects, but what I like to do is just take a really small object (I use the grenade mesh), make it invisible (and usually scale it down, too), and attach an effect to its dummyroot. Then you can place the effect exactly where you want it to go.

Thanks! I'll give that a shot.
