How's he fascinating? He's shown a clear dislike for the clones. He refers to call them by the number and not their name. He wants to have Fives and that other guy executed.
He's fascinating because everything about him is radically different from any other Jedi or hero that we've seen. It's compelling to watch characters who walk the line between good and evil, especially on a show in which the heroes and villains are often oversimplified. It makes the show less black and white.

Um, have we forgotten about Anakin? He's walked the line quite a few times in the series. But I understand, seeing other characters other than main ones is intriguing, I guess.

That's true, but by the same token you can't just paint stripes on a horse and tell me it's a zebra. "Jedi" as a role has been established as having certain attributes - Jedi are either compassionate and caring (albeit often aloof), or they're flirting with the Dark Side, in which case they are usually
too passionate and caring. Jedi always, no matter how highfalutin', have a respect for life. If Krell is going to stick around - something I'm fine with, by the way, because he does generate an interesting story - then you're going to have to tell me that he's simply a bad guy playing good guy. Right now I'm being told that he's something that the universe (even in the context of the show) has established as something different - he's wearing Jedi clothes, but that's all. He's surrounded by an interesting story, but he's not a good character right now, because he breaks rules in-universe.

I concur. :plokoon:
You can be a Jedi if you use the Dark Side, but stay in control. Kyle Katarn used many "dark" powers, but at the end of the day he's still a good person.
Pong on the other hand, may not be using the Dark side, he's certainly not a true Jedi either. Most of the Jedi actually care when they see the clones being killed, and it even made Yoda begin to question the methods of using clones to fight the war.

This is what I think about tonight's episode:
I was really into this Umbara series of episodes and was impressed with the story and battle sequences!

Oh man. I just loved this episode. It had the right portions of epic and scary.
I wonder what the next episode will be about though, as they didn't show a short trailer.

Dear Nova Hawk,
Generally, if you haven't seen the latest episode of a TV show, you want to avoid any and all places on the internet that have said TV show as a topic. Regardless of if we have spoiler tags, something might slip.
For example, my girlfriend does not access her Tumblr (which is really, really hard for her to do) every Tuesday night, because Glee airs two hour earlier on the East coast than it does on the West coast, and everyone posts spoilers.
Moral of the story: the TCW topic is not a good thread to read if you have not seen the latest episode of TCW and don't want anything spoiled.
Really, it's your own fault.
Now then,

Yeah, I put it in spoiler tags on purpose.
ON-TOPIC: Twilight_Warrior, I noticed that reference too, and it kinda reminded me of the scene in the last Harry Potter
book, where the professors confront Snape, who does a bunch of magic (force tricks for Krell) and jumps out of a window.

If it quacks like a duck - like I said above, it fits within the narrative. I'm glad that this was resolved as it was.

I agree completely. Not showing the Jedi's response to such an incredible development is a missed opportunity. I'm also curious as to what Palpatine's motivation was for having Anakin and Krell switch places. He must have known what Krell was up to, so did he want him to succeed or fail?
Does anyone else miss the episode commentaries that they used to post on SW.com? I'd really like to hear what Dave Faloni has to say in regards to the Umbara arc since this is probably their most ambitious arc outside of the Mortis trilogy.
