The Rules: Anti-bird?

I understand that the rules prohibit the use of profanity, but is it really because:
The Rules wrote:...parents may not like to have their children exposed to fowl language.
Goose! Chicken! I noticed this the first time I read through the rules upon joining, and it has bugged me since. Is there a reason the rules chose "fowl" over "foul?" Or is it just oversight?

I've never seen a Mod or Admin threaten me with an idol, so there's no reason to insinuate that they are doing so, but isn't this a bit odd? Might want to correct this one as well.
