Save edited shipped map in addon under same modid

Will it work if you edit a shipped map and save it under the same modid in the addon folder?
Just wonder if a same modid replace the shipped map in game?

If you use shipped modid (like nab1), for your mod it will overwrite calls of nab1 with yours, so basicly if you try to load original nab1 it will load your map, and if you try to load your modded nab1 it will load your map. I think this is due to the fact that exe, after loading references of official maps, loads addme.scripts in AddOn folder, so two listed maps point to the same maplua file, thus your modded map.
