I think most of you have already heard about this (as they've been talking about re-releasing MP games with Wii controls, and I think already released the first one) but I just saw it today, and figured I'd post it on here. I might dish out another 50$, just because I love the series so much, not to mention the shiny metal collector's box :P.

*WANTS*

Seriously though, MP3's controls were probably my favorite console FPS controls ever.

I already got this over the summer. It was a blast playing the first two again. Anyone else have this game so we could possibly exchange some vouchers? I have quite a few. BTW, that's actually the standed version. Out the three my favourite one was Echoes. I loved the increased difficulty, such as the Dark world, the darklings, and the overall level designs.(Another BTW, did you know that if you "juggle" the Target Droid in MP3 ten times, you get a gold credit, and a voucher if you do it 20 times?)

I'm loving this game so far. The controls are so much easier to use, actually managed to beat the Hive Mecha on my first try :P

And they fixed the Bomb Guardian. You know why if you've ever played MP2.

You know why. :x

Actually, I remember some people on other forums who said they had a hard time beating the mecha with the new controls. I have no clue as to why though. Thanks to the controls, the blasted Omega Pirate was much easier, though I still had to lock on to the indevidual plates to get the super missiles to home in on them. The bomb guardian was very easy in both versions to my knowledge, but what was changed? Or did you mean the Spider Guardian? That thing is a joke now, thanks to the "flip ball".

out of all of them the third one is my least favorite, it seemed to short, and it got kinda repetative it seemed. plus i didn't really like the who storyline, it felt like a remake of the first one with a few minor altercations and slight plot change. but it still was fun to play, just not the best.

i owned the first game for gamecube, but i got it used, and i was much younger,so i got scared more easily, so then i dropped it, until i bought the third game for the wii, then i tried playing the first one again, but i had scratched it and ruined it (it would freeze going down a certain elevator)

i love the first and second metroid because they throw you into a world of questions, like how did they all die, what the heck if phaazon =P. how come their are giant termites in the middle of a space station =P. but the third kinda just left out the questionnaire, and it became predictable (well except for the meteor/ seed hurtling towards the planet)

fun trilogy pack, i wasn't sure if they were going to make you play them in order, or if you could start playing anyone you wanted. im glad they made it that you can play which ever one you want.

plan on getting. new wii controls should be nice.

I enjoyed the first two games very much, and when i was in third grade, the first mp scared the crap outta me. the second one didnt as much, except for the undead troopers. even though theyre some of the first and easiest guys to kill, they creeped me out. And i agree with destos: the third metroid prime was sorta repetative. the only parts i enjoy replaying are when youre on the big ship in the beginning, and on norion shortly after. I also like the ghost-ship part.

But other than that, its basically all the same: go kill a bounty hunter comrade who got turned evil, and when they're dead he'll/she'll get posessed by a giant dragonfly; go to a strange looking place that looks like a colon(joke property of...someone. but its not mine); kill a giant guardian. and i found all of the seed guardians to be somewhat ridiculous looking(first one looks like one of the huge things from the old power rangers tv show, second looks like that thing from the incredibles, third is ridley, who exploded in the first mp, and fell to his death earlier in the third).

but overall, i think its a great trilogy, and a great addition to a great series. and i sure do hope the omega pirate(or elite pirate, whichever) is easier to beat, as well as the spider guardian, who was just plain annoying. and is the lack of save stations in mp2 going to be changed? they were somewhat scarce.

To those who have the game; did they add anything to them besides the new controls / lock-on?

They added bloom. Otherwise, everything is intact, even the Fusion Suit for Prime 1.

I am definitely getting this soon. I don't have the third Metroid Prime, but I would love to get this trilogy box set. It will also give me a good excuse to try and fill out the logbook 100%.

I was so happy when I heard about this. I'm most likely trading in MP3 towards MPT. I really want it. I enjoyed the first, but didn't get far. Missed out on the second, which I regret and I really enjoyed the MP3. I got like 80% complete, then the disc drive on my wii. Sent it in, but couldn't copy over my save file. Oh well, doesn't matter MP3 in MPT can't use the original MP3 save.

It's nice, I'm quite enjoying it. Though I tend to get lost in new areas of Metroid Prime 1 :P It's pretty big and unclear where to go next at some points. Till the hint comes.

Heh, my brother pre-odered the game. He got a MP T-Shirt, Artbook, and Poster to go with the game. But...

Because of a wierd bug in our Wii, ours is one of the first shipped over her to america. As in, my uncle waited in line at wal-mart at four in the morning to get it. And me and my brother bought it from him.(Full Price, tax included.) And maybe because of this or something else our Wii can't read dual layerd discs. So we can't this until we get it sent in for repairs, I haven't played Brawl on my Wii since April when it last worked correctly. But we really wan't to relive Metroid Prime, and finally finish 2.

I had a similiar problem. I got mine the day it came out, but from Best Buy, but that doesn't matter. Anyways, about a bit over year ago my Wii stopped reading discs properly when you inserted them and it was really annoying. I finally sent it in, from what I remember it wasn't gone for that long, and when I got it back I looked at the list of repairs and the disc drive was failing or failed. They replaced it and sent it back. And yes I got MY Wii back, not someone else refurbished Wii.
