Well, .3ds is the extension for the 3DS-Max software by Autodesk. Its used to create animations for characters in BF2, I believe Kit Fisto in the Conversion Pack is one example. It might be possible to get it ingame, but I wouldn't know how. All I do is Sketchup.
EDIT: Its really good, especially next to this pic:

i'd really like to see this model in the game but i need help
do you know of any modder who i can PM that will accept finishng the skin and animation?

i can export the model to .3dm or .3ds format and some other ones but no XSI

maybe i can finish the 3d model, and the give it to you by e-mail and you can finish it, i'm fine with that, we can share the credits for the mod.
here I add some new screens of a more detailed front and the engines on the back are made as similar as i remember them from dont remember whch episode or maybe the movie, the fact is that i couldn't find it yet

Need paths? barriers? planing hubs and conections?

I don't know how to do , but if the bots are walking in groups, I think the B2-droids will shoot down the B1-droids or?!

I don't think that that's possible in BFII.

The AI just aren't that smart. You can't get them to walk slowly AND in perfect formation AND shoot. You could get them to run in large mobs like this geonosis shot:

You might be able to make them move in columns, if you make a multitude of parallel, very narrow hubs and connections. If they are narrow, units will move along them one at a time. However when they engage in combat, they will stray off the path but that is only realistic.

Jet troopers don't necessarily mean ARC troopers, unless I misunderstood what you were saying? lol. Anyways, great map so far! I really loved the Christophsis Battle, can't wait to take part in it!

Thanks man. I understand that what I do is multiple centers and connections to move in parallel columns. it will. I will see if it works.

Is this true? can not change the speed at which the droids walk ? I think if I can do, not what I have done yet, but I think that if I add this lines to the file of ODF "cis_inf_xxxxx "

The only ARC trooper in the battle is Captain Rex.

i'd be glad to make the 3d model but i stll dont know how to skin or animate, but I can send you the .obj (or whatever extract file you need) to finish it
quieres que haga el modelo del tri droid en 3d y te lo pase para que le hagas el skin y la animacion??

If you really want.. Im willing to export the Tri-Droid as static prop, but then it should be yours only, no one else could see or touch it, only in the munged map.. And ofcourse i want so bold-printed credits Capiche?
ok, I like the proposal. by copyright do not worry . Now I suggest you this: If you send me the complete Tri-Droid (animations, odf, MSH ....) I included on the map but did not release to everyone (not published the assets, only the map), it would only be to this map. then if you want you can include it in Battlefront Zero if you like. you say?

No we agreed, you gave export a tri-Droid as static prop, I suggested that if you send me the model (all) I would complete the whole map to be incorporated into BF0. you are not contacted me. anyway thank you for your interest mate.

btw. will you include a shield like in the movie, Ashoka Tano and Anakin in TCW skin?
