I would like to see your Geonosis. Many have tried to make it movie accurate (and failed). I certainly would like to seem more Geonosis maps with the quality of other mod maps here.

Looks great! I don't know what your intentions are for the map, but I would close off certain areas, like that base in the second picture to make it JUST BARELY vehicle accessible. It's just a suggestion because maps can benefit from having "arenas" of combat, small closed off interspersed areas with large battles. But it's up to you.

How can it be Beggar's Canyon without T-16s? Shoot me a PM and I'll give you my model to use, if you want it. I'd like to update my model anyway so that the texture doesn't suck as much.

Well, it looks like opinion is totally divided on what map to show next, so I'll just choose whatever map I'm in the mood for when the time comes.

Until then, here's a little teaser shot to keep things rolling:

Map Update #3: Boz Pity
I had been planning to show a different map in this post, but I changed my mind at the last minute because I wanted to show a map that was created entirely with models that I have made myself, as opposed to models that were included in the stock assets or released by community members. So today I bring you Boz Pity, a world that was briefly mentioned in Episode III, but only visually depicted in Renegade Squadron and a few comics. Being a "graveyard world," the atmosphere is fairly gloomy - twilight has fallen over the landscape, while a thin layer of mist drifts over the ground. According to Star Wars lore, the world was once home to a race of giants that were hunted to extinction. As such, the architecture and props are appropriately giant-sized. Units, and even vehicles, are dwarfed by the massive gravestones and monuments that are scattered throughout the map.
Screenshots:
*Please note that any clone troopers you see have yet to be skinned, and are shown only to give a sense of scale!*
I still need to add some smaller details to fill out the map, but the bulk of the design is done. The overall map size is large. The map is comprised of two "arenas" that are separated by the gates seen in the first screenshot. The layout makes the map suitable for a variety of modes. It is big enough for XL, but still compact enough for conquest. A number of vehicles are available for both sides. The Republic has an AT-TE, fightertanks, and speederbikes, while the CIS has AATs, Hailfire tanks, and STAPs. Vehicles for the Empire and Alliance will be fairly similar - AT-ATs, speederbikes, and assorted hover tanks.

Very cool Boz Pity! The atmosphere is great and the ruin models you made are one of the best (if not the best) that I've seen.

I'm so clumsy
Seriously though, that looks absolutely fantastic. The lighting and atmosphere fit perfectly with the setting you're trying to create. I do feel that the roman-esque monument looks a bit too smooth to have a rough texture, but hey, there's only so much you can do with SWBF2 models, and it is an awesome model on it's own, I just feel like it might be a bit off, visually. Anywho, the map still looks awesome with or without my nitpicking.

Information on sides should come soon, probably in the next update or the one after that. The sides are well on their way to being complete, but I still have some visual work I want to do before I reveal too much (skins for clone troopers, like I mentioned in my last post, and other assorted bells and whistles). If I really wanted to, I could make a long post that listed all the units along with their weapons and stats, but I prefer to do more showing than telling.

I can always edit the model to rough it up a bit.

That was the first model I made for the map, so I was still getting a feel for how I would approach the aged look - whether through just the textures, or through taking little chips off the corners of the models.
