AI Not Respecting Barriers?

For the map I'm working on, I placed barriers around the edge of the map because I'm having a problem with literally dozens of the AI ships flying off into no mans land, leaving the main battle area almost completely vacant. After originally doing this I got an error in my BF2Log saying that the barriers had been placed beyond the edge of the world, and I needed to increase the size of the world. I did so accordingly. Still, however, the AI flyers go right past the barriers as if they weren't even there. I've triple checked to make sure flyers are banned via the barriers. I did have an issue with the map not registering a CSB_CW-Ships.BAR file, and I've since created that because the barriers I placed were in the CW-ships layer. Do the barriers just not work in space, or am I missing something?

I also tried setting up a boundary, but haven't gotten that to work yet. I'm not even sure that will stop the AI anyway.

All help is appreciated :)

This is something I observed in the regular space maps. Bots love to just wander way off and come back, and repeat. The regular maps have planning, barriers, and leaving warnings but they still don't obey them much.

The last thing I can think of is make some teleporters on the ends of the map and when they get hit it would turn them around or teleport them back somewhere else.

Yeah I've done some barriers and ai flying paths in my older maps, had the same issue!

Sometimes, they wander off but sometimes they follow the path I set up. Haven't tried that teleporter that AnthonyBF2 suggested, I may give that a go now!
