Sound Card is missing or disabled. Internet fixed.

Okay, so I run the Visual Munge. I leave the computer to watch TV for a sec. I come back, my visual munge is complete. I run the start up for BF2, I hear no sound. I click "play game", and it says that my sound card is either disabled or missing. And I still cannot hear any sound. I looked in my device manager, everything is there, everything looks okay. There is still no sound.

EDIT: About my internet, apparently my Mother was having the exact same problem. She uses the same router. So that problem is solved.

But still, what the [Diet Dr. Pepper] is going on here? WHAT'S HAPPENING TO MY BABY?!?!?

Hm, the only thing I could say is that you have disabled them if you have W7. I have it and my audio device is off, but my audio is enabled, and I get sound. Are you using XP, though?

Yes, I am using XP. If you wish to know my specs, I'll give them to you.

I have a Dell Inspiron 5150
It has had a motherboard replacement due to a previous failure that prevented it from loading at start up. Other than that, it has all the original hardware that it should've had when it's model was first distributed (in other words, I don't know what it has, all I know is that it's the original design, and runs on 3.06 GHz), which, being a 5150, might be the reason for the failure. All the device specs say the sound card is working correctly. But it still doesn't make any sense!
