Ok, just saying from the perspective of a person who has lived around snow for all their life, but since it is your map it is obviously your choice and I have to say it actually looks like good, if not real to the point that it mimics real snow covered foliage it still looks good.

Bad news.... :(

i ran into a big problem, the game is crashing. I've tried most everything i know to try to get it working again, but no success. I'm giving myself 1 to 2 weeks to fix it. If i cant well,
i'll have to start over or,
*start over with a different planet name. (see poll)

I'm letting you decide with a poll what to do if i cant get it working again, but if i can fix it well, at least i had a backup on what to do with the map.

if you may be able to help somehow to get the game working please pm me.

* i recommend it to be an ice planet (because of the legion), and can you please be more pacific on which one you'll want to see. Also i need to have assets for the planet or use/mix the ones i have (the bf1&2 assets also, i can download some if i can find them or you can post a download link of assets i can use).

So you cant run swbf2 anymore or your map?

However if you want to make a new map I would sugget someting like a city in the mountains. ( not like Rhen Var )

its the map, not bf2, check the moding forum for the topic (crashing after i spawn)

i honistly dont want to redo/make the map again, but it seems like i may have to...
city in the moutans... that just gave me 100's of ideas.. :P

well that really sucks and I read about it in the modding forms but I thought you got it fixed anyway I dont have a clue for what you could do if you restart but I will still beta anything you make or everything

you'll still will be a beta tester for this map, As for all of the others also.

i found Riome on wiki and its a clone war planet.

is this a good one for a map? i want one that gametoast users like.

If you crash at spawning, doesn't that mean that there's some (possibly AI) unit that has some issues? (wrong locallisation and stuff)

I don't think that really matters. It's just an ice planet, which is what's requisit for this map. Some of his legion is already noncanon, so who really cares as long as it's fun (and it IS a cool name).

Sorry everyone i haven't been on for a month....
but yes metal shadows, i have a b-1, i haven't posted about it yet.

ill have the report on the crashing problem in a few days, i hope.


Edit:

I got it to work! i recreated the map and moved the world folder into the new one. With out custom sides, it works. Im going to put them back in, after i find the problem. So I'll have a map update in 1-2 weeks maybe 3.


Update!

For first, I made the environment much better. More hills, effects, all that good stuff. I have Also added 3 animated objects. But don't have any videos on them because my xfire kept giving me a CRC error, and I don’t have many screens because of that same error. :runaway: I added a republic capitol ship to the map with remote controlled ship turrets. So you can attack things, not the computer. One more thing I added is 2 republic landing craft as well as 2 CIS landing craft. Last, I edited an missile ODF to make a "Nuclear" missile for the ATTE, tried to upload a video of the explosion but it had a CRC. :x

my suggestion is: big hoth map , could appear the UT-AT :wink: and maybe droid gunships :P

The new enviroment is very much improved though, but the CIS desk thing needs a texture.
And do take care to see that the balance of the map is even fo both sides, please. With a capitol ship, two LAAT's, and nukes this map seems to be leaning in the republics favor.

I agree but having played the Beta the CIS units are very strong

I like your new take on the galactic marines 501st, but to be honest that weapon specialist seems out of place. I honestly reccomend using something more like the stock engineer model. That guy doesnt seem to fit in with the rest of them.

The map is large, but for the truth, you can get to one end the the other faster that it looks.

What all i'm adding to the republic, the CIS are still winning. I upped the Republic reinforcements up 50 higher than the CIS and they still win by normally 40 to 0. The AT-TEs have one nuke each but the dont do as much damage, taking about 10 droids a missile...
