Gametoast weekend downtime from explosion!

As you know this weekend we experienced 28 hours of downtime where Gt was not working due to an explosion at the facility we maintain our server hardware. It is still being determined if it was lightning or naturally related. After closer inspection this morning it appears it was a transformer in our data center that had caught fire, thus requiring our server technicians to take down all generators and servers as instructed by the fire department. Over 9000 servers were down during this unpreventable major outage.
Our network and hardware specialists had been working with the fire department, with our facilities staff on site, to assess the situation and have restored all services and servers to "better then before" performance. Thanks for being patient while gametoast was down and we are now back 120%.
Get more from your "burnt" Toast.

"Your toast has been burned and no amount of scraping will remove the black parts!"
Anyways...that's no good. But it's nice to know that the servers are running better now than before.

An explosion? Really?
No, it's not really funny, but I WAS wondering why it was down. Actually, I was kind of glad it was down. I was gone like four days, so it made me not miss as much!

Hmmm... the
InvisionFree boards must have been in that building as well. I couldn't access any of their sites over the weekend. But now they're also back.
Needless to say I was
kind of bored over the weekend.

Odd something like that happened, I mean they do use high security there and I bet they will try harder to protect it too. Anyways glad to see GT is back and better than ever!
