Google it?
You can click Google it for what I searched to get a tutorial. I don't have particle editor and it took me about 15 seconds to search for it.
There are lots out there, just find ones that suit you.
:google:

Except...they're for lots of different particle editors for lots of different games?
Googling "particle editor tutorial battlefront" results in no results that are actually relevant.

@Lephenix_dor:

Best way to learn about effects for PE and how they work is just to open stock effects and toy around with them (this is how you make effects anyway...you can't add in totally blank ones). Most are located in data_whateveryourmodidis/Common/Effects

have you even opened up the editor yet? just mess around with it for about an hour with multiple effects, if you still dont get it, well then we can see what we can do.

Good place to start would be to look in the Everything You Need to Know FAQ under particle editor. There are hints there on how to make it work properly as well.

I think you should put it in your sides "effects" folder and make your custom weapon reference to it, then munge.

Or put it in your world's effects folder and attach it to a prop, or do many other things. They're not just for weapons.

I know, but I just knew most people will try it out for weapons and character effects at first :)

@Lephenix_dor
Just look at stock .odf's and effects, there's really no better way to learn stuff.

EDIT:
Yeah, you're right Fiodis. I got mixed up with the other help thread :lol:

And odfs and everything else. And, above all, look at the stock documentation and the FAQ thread.

The Request thread is in another forum. And anyway, there's so many different ways to get it ingame there's no point of writing one tutorial. Moreover, there are already tutorials made for putting side modifications in-game and creating custom sides.
