Ok fanboy comments aside, this is very interesting. I don't see it as Apple trying to compete with Nintendo and Sony but more with Microsoft and its Zune. And i dont know what kind of graphics are in an iPod but they can't be that great so all the games will be 2D and mainly classic games. And once again iTunes is involved. If you want any Apple product to work ipod, iphone, mac, etc. you need iTunes. Obviously I'm not a fan of iTunes. The service yes the software no.

I wouldn't be to worried. Unless Apple puts in a brand new graphics card in the iPod the DS nor PSP should worry. And just because the iPod can play games doesn't mean it's a hit. You need good games to make it successful, unless Apple views the situation like this. Apple: Hey roughly 93 million people own an ipod. Let's make games! (SOrry i'd continue the thing but i can't think)
Anyways you know the games will just be crap. Do you guys know where I'm trying to get? I don't want to be a hypocrite and dis Apple with the crappy causal games and while I'm a Nintendo Wii owner. I Hope that makes some sense.

I'd get a PSP 1000x over a DS, but the DS still rocks. I'd get a PSP to be able to mod it and play modded games or classic PS1 games off a flash drive. That just rules.

Agree.

In my opinion, I think Apple should just stick with the computer system gaming, not console. Microsoft was lucky guys and before Halo, Windows already had a good amount of games compared to Apple's. The only Apple games that those guys really need to bring back is Super Muncher, Oregon Trail, and any varities of games based from the Arcades like Centipede.

Apple games are meant to focus more on education than Microsoft's Windows.
