well the .msh.option is one line due to being from scratch since there was none.

.odf:

Code: Select all

[WeaponClass]
ClassParent         = "com_weap_inf_rifle"
GeometryName        = "rep_weap_inf_new_rifle.msh"

[Properties]
GeometryName        = "rep_weap_inf_new_rifle"
GeometryScale       = 0.5
HighResGeometry         = "rep_1st_weap_inf_rifle"
OrdnanceName        = "rep_weap_inf_rifle_ord"
FirePointName       = "hp_fire"

//******************************************************
//***************   SOUND       ****************
//******************************************************

MuzzleFlash         = "small_muzzle_flash"
FlashColor          = "80 80 255 255"
FlashLength         = 0.025
FlashColor          = "100 100 255 255"
FlashLength         = 0.025
FlashLightColor     = "220 220 255 175"
FlashLightRadius    = "2.0"
FlashLightDuration  = "0.25"
Discharge           = "small_smoke_effect"

FireSound           = "rep_weap_inf_rifle_fire"
ReloadSound         = "com_weap_inf_reload_med"
ChangeModeSound     = "com_weap_inf_equip_med"
FireEmptySound      = "com_weap_inf_ammo_empty"
WeaponChangeSound   = "com_weap_inf_equip_med"
JumpSound           = "com_weap_inf_rifle_mvt_jump"
LandSound           = "com_weap_inf_rifle_mvt_land"
RollSound           = "com_weap_inf_rifle_mvt_roll"
//ProneSound          = "com_weap_inf_rifle_mvt_lie"
SquatSound          = "com_weap_inf_rifle_mvt_squat"
//StandSound          = "com_weap_inf_rifle_mvt_getup"
msh.option
-scale 0.5

Okay, make sure that the option is an OPTION file! So not a .txt called .option! I think this might be the problem. Also make sure, together the option has to be named rep_weap_inf_new_rifle.msh.option (and the file type has to be an option file!!!!)

That really is the most likely problem. I just checked it, I got it into an option file so - fingers crossed -

:x Men you're having a damm frustrating problem here! Are you sure you've selected the right msh? Check the msh name, and call the GeometryNameLowrez or whatever it's called, also call it the msh.
Hidden/Spoiler:
-nocollision -hiresshadow -scale 0.5
Put this in the option. Make sure it's an option file. If it's still invisible try changing in odf first and if still not works in option; 0.5 to 0,5 That might do the job! I'm seeing my sweet warm bed right now, talk to you later and good luck!

The rifle is missing geometry... I'm getting really frustrated with this..

Code: Select all

Message Severity: 3
.\Source\Weapon.cpp(2044)
Weapon "rep_weap_inf_new_rifle" missing geometry "rep_weap_inf_new_rifle"

Message Severity: 3
.\Source\Weapon.cpp(2044)
Weapon "rep_weap_inf_rifle" missing geometry "rep_weap_inf_new_rifle"

Just a note, the scale line in the ODF, only controls how big a mesh appears in ZE.
So it's not necessary in this case.

:cpu: I think I might as well use the default rifles since this is so buggy for me, It won't work, one last attempt then I am done.

You shouldn't have to edit the msh.option. The way the rifle came it should work just fine.

Open the ODF and the msh.option in notepad and copy and paste the contents here.

Wait, you guys know there were two versions, right? The one you must have downloaded was the wrong one. That one doesn't have a shadowvolume, which is why it appears invisible. There is one with everything fixed that I believe was released. You can find it here:

http://files.filefront.com/dc15azip/;76 ... einfo.html

Off Topic: Where I found that link is in a thread of controversy and large proportions...yeah...
