I probably won't be able to reach the actual bridge. (I found out I can't really fit the my room I'm using in it and it's just plain out of the way.
It's actually closer to 600 meters across the Cruiser. This is what I've got to connect:

Distances in space battles are just plain huge. Take for instance the speeds at which objects travel. The maximun speed for the fastest land vehicle, the speeder bike while boosting is 40. The minimun speed when braking for ALL space flyer is 35. The boosting speeding for a TIE bomber is 120 while the boost speed for an interceptor is a breakneck 170.

I'm also designing a Mon Calamari cruiser interior for a large ground map of mine - it's interesting to compare how we're both going about doing things. About the bridge, I decided to simply have mine located right behind that big black wall near the front of the ship. (as for the bridge object, I might make that a lookout tower if EraofDysann gets his elevator fully working)xwingguy wrote:I probably won't be able to reach the actual bridge. Also, about the torpedo bays, it might be a good idea to place them closer to the front of the ship. The Tantive IV engine room would make a good torpedo-launching room.
Oh, and if you think there's too much space, I filled up a lot of space in mine using several reskinned CIS hangers positioned to form one enormous cargo bay.

I doubt that we will spawn in the hallways. On the other hand, i have an idea about the torpedo bays. I think you shoud make the projectile a concussion missle (the player controlled rocket) only twice as big with massive damage, but slow movement. I think that one of the many things missing from the space battles of SWBF2 is the ability to fight the battle completely from the inside of your own ship.

I think that I probably need to resort more to cargo bays than actual hallways. This will greatly reduce the object count and increase stability. (Seriously)
On the bright side, those cargo bays just gave me the greatest idea ever for interior defenses.
atst in cargo bay...with a twist a the atst's odf......
PilotType = "self"
Muwahahahah
