Uhm, what is the problem though? And it sounds good, if Campaign really works, but the readme is not necesarry. Are you talking about BF2_Modtools.exe, or Zeroeditor.exe?

He's got a point.

Clarify what exactly this is for. Are you looking for a someone to make that map you posted with you? or do you need help with fixing, or what...?

But it's not a WIP Thread until he has actually made some progress

you need to have the mod tools folder in the root of the c drive. you need the actual mod tools program in your addon folder, or it will not work. if your mod tools folder isn't in the root of the c drive, none of the stuff will work correctly, and you get, a very glitchy map, or no map at all. Hope this helps. And, remember:

1. MOD TOOLS FOLDER=ROOT OF C:\ DRIVE
2. MOD TOOLS APPLICATION= C:\ProgramFiles\Lucasarts\StarWarsBattlefrontII\GameData

do I just move the Applacation Icon for ModTools to GameData?
or what?

You need to reread the getting started guide in the mod tool's documentation folder. And follw it step by step while you read it.

There is no reason to run BF2_ModTools.exe until you have created a map through ZeroEdit and you need a bug log. Also, BF2_ModTools.exe only works for people who have the CD version of the game.

I do have the CD version but I don't know how to use ZeroEdit. what is a Bug Log??

by PieDude797
Your bug log is the BFront Notepad Document. Once you run ModTools, if it crashes, it will state the problems in that log.

the Problem is: can't find .DLL file

EDIT: could it be that I have a faulty Version?!

No, you just don't have it in the right folder.
Teancum in the Everything You Need Thread wrote:Question: Why won't BF2_modtools.exe run? I get a binkw32.dll error.
Answer: You need to copy the file to your Battlefront II/Gamedata folder and run it from there.
