Tibrin: Island

This map was made specifically for The Dark Times. It was originally going to be an entirely different location ( a snowy planet) but out of nowhere I was inspired to do an island map... so here we are. I worked on it nonstop (thank you, coffee!) during a cold and rainy week and I'm proud of how it turned out.
Wookieepedia wrote: Tibrin (pronounced /ˈtɪbrɪn/ or /tɪˈbrɪn/) was a planet located within the Mid Rim and the homeworld of the Ishi Tib.

The planet was completely covered by small oceans, with many coral reefs and sandbars protruding to the surface. The ocean currents distributed warm water around the planet creating a temperate zone which covered the entire planet. Ishi Tib cities were built on the reefs and even built out of their material. Edible seaweed was grown and fish were bred for food in Tibrin's underwater corrals.

Because of the Ishi Tib's reliance on the planet's natural resources, environmental efforts were a primary consideration on the planet. Technology was carefully tested before it was implemented into their society. In an effort to further this environmentalism, Ishi Tib used beasts to perform many tasks on the planet that would normally be performed by machines.

The planet was ruled by the murderous dictator Suribran Tu, who sided with the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars. After Count Dooku conquered the world in 22 BBY, he offered to work with the Confederacy of Independent Systems, but was instead executed by Dooku to gain the sympathy and support of the Ishi Tib—which he did.

Sora Bulq then was made temporary Confederate governor of Tibrin. Even after Tibrin joined the Confederacy, it was represented in the Galactic Senate by Gume Saam. It was the site of the Battle of Tibrin.

WoW , this looks amazing. I am just curious, how is the island part going to play into the map? This map does look awesome. The sky looks classic for Dark Times. Nice job Era, look forward to playing this.

I don't like the green lighting, it doesn't seem to fit that skybox (or vice-versa), still, I love the looks of it. Great job Era!

The map itself is just a single, small island that's sort of crescent shaped. The teams are scattered across the island and the only neutral CP is located on the dock.

In retrospect I could have put in some additional islands but coulda, shoulda, woulda.

Looks nice. I'm not a huge fan of the sky (really obvious that it's just a re-colored Bespin sky), but I'm sure Mav will be making his own improvements.

To be fair, I've never seen the Yavin stone ground texture fit into a map this well, and to be fair.. I think this is the most atmospheric and beautiful map ever made, and you've beat Pandemic to it! Wow.. I hate using these smileys nowadays but era, you force me to do it.. What a sky, what an atmosphere and what a great mixture/collection of props..:

Just one question, want some new (more realistic and less Saulecami like) palm trees? I'm making some with T-Gen and xsi.

I'll make whatever props I need to touch up the maps; that is part of the fun for me in that I get to polish all these maps. :)

Nice use of props, creates a really nice atmosphere, but IMO I don't think all the buildings should use that common desaturated Tatooine rock texture, because it matches with the rock pillars (which looks slightly odd). Maybe change the texture of the stone spires to differ slightly to the buildings themselves? Not by much, just a bit.
Other than that looks nice
