Battlefront 3 doesn't exist yet... and it's being made by EA so don't expect mod tools. (If people can modwho would buy download content?)

You can still make your mod for Battlefront 1 or 2. There are many tutorials out there for both of them. However, I'm not so sure how you would implement an open world feature in those games.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, Nedarb7 is making a mod that has some open world style concepts. Perhaps he can give you a few tips.
