XSI modtool 6 won't apply phong texture [Solved]

I am attempting to texture my DE-10,
but when i select an object and press material Phong it shows this:
i have experienced this before, but it goes away when i close ModTool, or restart my Comp, i did both this time and nothing is working.

The line on the bottom tells you what a operation XSI did/does. Errors will be shown as a red stripe. Phong is only a shader, you have to select a color map in the phong shader pop up in order to see something change.

maybe he means the propertypage doesnt pop up

the box where you can adjust size and subdivisions, and that stuff, it went away for me after xsi crashed, and even though i restarted my computer, it's not back

To fix the missing Property Editor problem:
Go to File>Preferences>Interaction>Property Editors/Views tab
and tick the Popup Property Editors on Node Creation box

thanks DarthD.U.C.K, i didn't know thee were controlled by the same thing.
