If you guys like RTS you should really think about getting the demo to this game. Its incredible. Its a WW2 rts that actually feels like WW2. And the way your troops interface with the enviornment will blow your mind. For example if your troops are crossing a road and they get halfway across the road before they are abmushed, half of the troops will take cover on the left side of the road and half of your troops will take cover on the right. And when your troops are on the attack, its not kamikaze assualts as they just stand in the middle of the road and shoot the enemy, they will take cover too behind say a low wall that happens to be at the end of the road. And the AI are smart too, think FEAR taken to RTS. For example if youve got a tank thats weak from the rear youll see a panzer attack you from the front and youll think theres nothing special with the AI, butt then before you know it a tank crew pops up behind your Sherman tank at the same moment your supply line is cut making it impossible for the tank to turn arround and restore the supply line or really do anything. The Ai are smart, no doubt about it. And the graphics are incredible, just trust me if youve got a high end rig you're in for a treat. Ive got and Intel Dual Core with 2 SLI linked 256 mb Ati X600's and 1 gb or ram. I swear when I zoom in on my troops they look like the real thing. Im definately going to buy this game.

Does anyone else have this Demo? Id really like to know because whatever I do I cant get the CD key from ******* fileplanet. (hate fileplanet with a passion that defies words.....) Without the CD Key you cant play multiplayer.

I tried searching for the Company of Heroes Demo on FilePlanet, but nothing came up except for a Company of Heroes Multiplayer Pre-Order Client. Is that what you mean? And if not, can we have a link please? This game sounds excellent! (And decent AI is always a nice bonus ;).)

Its on fileplanet. If you go to the main page and look to the right in a box, ull see its there. Beware tho, if you dont have a fast compy itll lag like a mofo. This game can definately be described as a system hog. Before you download though, see if you can find someone w/ a cd key. w/out it all you can do is tyhe tutorial which is still fun and gives you a good taste of the game but will make your fever to play the game even more intense :D

Well, I've just completed the tutorial for the third time, and it's awesome! It's a shame that I had to turn the graphics card down to low, I have 1GB of RAM but apparently my video card sucks (RADEON X600 256MB HyperMemory), since otherwise I lag like crazy. Maybe it's just because it's a demo, on the Empire At War Demo I was lagging like crazy but in the actual game it ran pretty well. Can any video-card speciality person tell me if my video card is any good or not? ATI says that it's great but then, of course they would, they made it after all!

haha dude I got the same exact card, in fact I got two of them in my computer. Its a pretty good card. Last year it would have been a very good-great card but for 2006 its still good. Im running the Demo on high. At fist I though I was lagging but then I realized it one of those games that makes you think you are lagg when actually you are not. I thot I was lagging at first so I turned down the settings to low and I still got the same thing, then I realized that I was getting great framerates but the camera was just a little unresponsive. I get the same FPS as high as in low.

Basically what happens to me is that all the animations and stuff run smoothly but it's just when I move the camera it starts getting really choppy. The shadows also look a bit strange, 'coz they're made up of blocks if you will. That happened to me on the Battlefield 2 demo as well, but in the actual game it was fine.

Thats exactly what I got, prob an ATI thing, after an hour or so of playing it tho you dont even notice the shadows and you kinda get used to the camera too.

Heh, I managed to get a CD key for COH from a certain website, but it says that I can't play multiplayer since the CD key is already in use. Ah well. No doubt I'd get owned anyway, LoL. At any rate, the tutorials are probably going to be better as my Internet connection is fast, but has a tendency to stop for no reason. (Just one of many reasons not to get AOL, LoL.)

Off-topic : In most of the cases, Online Locations being affiliated towards the GameSpy© Network are usually attempting to gather and organize as many Resources and Informations referring to the Entertainment Products they may support and review, and that's why I doubt you could eventually succeed into locating Alternate Places which are supposed to host Company Of Heroes-related Elements different from those currently available onto FilePlanet© Servers. Furthermore, I have remarked that the Downloads related to this same Relic Entertainment® Devising are somewhat uncommon on the aimed web-site, and that's why I assume you should not ever mistake while trying to repatriate the Application having been argued about along the precedent messages, Rekubot...
