Is it possible to model the way a particular Jedi fights? For example the combos they make (example: Maul slashes once, then twice, then flips)? If so, you should probably make the Clone Assassin do combos similar to Maul as he was an expert in Terris Kasi (h/e it's spelt) as were the Assassins so naturally they would fight similar to Maul.

hey, ARC_Commander, could you please post a pic of the Royal Gaurd unit that you are planning to use? I wouldn't ask except that these guys have some of the coolest imperial armor, at least in my opinion.

@Phyzzle: I'm planning to give the Assassin dual Ryyk blades, reskinned of course, like the Chieftain on ML-Kashyyyk.

@ARC_Trooper: I'll post it as soon as I can. It's not the skin EGG_GUTS posted, it's some other one I found laying around on my hard drive. Uses the Galactic Marine model. Not sure who made it. Caleb1117 offered to send me a double-bladed vibrosword, which I of course accepted. He's not done yet, though.

More updates! (Sorry, I don't have a pic of the Royal Guard yet)
Jedi Sniper! He's "jed_inf_jedi03" now, and he's got a green Maul saber with only the second blade lit.
And I hate to look like I'm copying Syth, but I was planning to do this for a while... Jabba's Palace now has mercs helping the Gamorreans. And thanks to Teancum with the release of the infantry.lvl source! The Gungans now have the Gungan shields, the staffs, and I gave the Gungan soldier a stolen CIS rifle (3 clips instead of 4). And my Magna now has the proper staff, yay!

If I get the time (plenty actually) or space(erg only 7 gigs left...garrrgh), I'll try to film some stuff and make a small teaser or full length trailer. Depends on my fps though. ^_^ Thank god for full fraps!
Anyways, I am so looking forward to this: Realistic sides and awesome gameplay (it sounds and looks anyway) and the way BF2 should've been.
Well. Yours is a good way of how it should've been and also Syth's mod, but still, erg. I dunno. lol. But anyway, yeah, this looks incredibly fun.

Do you want to have a single hilt for the Jedi Sniper? If you want, you can ask Darth_Z13 or check out his Vyse Jedi Temple mod thread on how to do it. But, here's a warning, the saber sticks out behind the hilt, meaning his hand that wields the hilt is glowing green.

Update. Award weapons have been removed, as I hate them. Pretty pointless when you've got the unlockable unit system. Instead of award weapons, my system gives you units with better weapons.
Storm commandos and commando droids (replace Trandos on certain maps, skin by Syth) have a sniper mode on their rifles, that consumes the same ammo as the standard mode. The commando droid has a "Scatter Gun" - a rapid-fire, highly inaccurate rifle with a high-damage, accurate sniper mode. The storm commando has a reskinned, enlarged Republic pistol (from the assets) that has DC-17m specs, with a sniper mode that consumes the same ammo. I'm going to put a Sniper Mode on the shadow trooper carbine. Standard mode will be the same as the standard carbine, and sniper mode will have an invisible bolt, high damage, and no noise or flash.
The clone rifle has a heavy fire mode with 0.8-sec shot delay. Does 585 damage per shot. Consumes 3 ammo per shot, and shares ammo with the standard mode. The ARC rifle and the Rebel have a burst-fire mode, does more damage per shot. Fires in bursts of three.
The Republic sidearm is a carbine, and it goes full auto for about 7 shots and then has to cool down. I got this from the scene in Ep3 on Utapau, where the clone jumps on the droid and blasts it.
The Clone Assassin has reskinned Ryyk blades with Aayla's anims, and the assassin uses my own model. Sorry, Darth_Z13, but I needed a mod-able one. He has a flamethrower as secondary (or should I do a poison throwing knife? That'd be sick! I'd need to get it to use the saber throw anims, though)
The SBD now has a charge blaster that shares the same heat as the standard one. Thanks VF501.
The Republic Commando has sonic grenades as secondary. Thx VF501. I'm also going to implement his conc rifle effects.
Jango's pistol and the clone carbine use a cool laser texture from Syth.
I'm also using a few reskins by Droideka88 - the droideka, a darker Alliance rifle, a Geonosian elite, and more.
The Rebel engineer has a pilot skin and a CR-2 Blast Cannon - the Rebel shotgun, with pistol specs, no overheat, 60 rounds per clip, and an 0.08-second shot delay.
All sniper rifles now have recoil, for a realistic feel.
Well, I'm installing BF2 on my laptop ATM, so there should be more updates, more frequently.

I assume the assasin is going to be deployed against drioids (mostly) and poison would be pretty useless against droids, so my opinion would be to go with the flamethrower.

So instead of a laser shotgun, its more of a blaster submachine gun?

The assassin will be used in the Jedi Temple campaign against Jedi, and the knives will do 600 damage plus poison. They'll be vibroknives. And yes, the CR-2 is, basically, a tommy gun.
The Republic gunship is now able to hover in place, when the throttle is pulled down all the way.

Sure have been. It's getting even closer to completion. I'm planning to make Jabba's Palace hunt mode with the Rebel heroes vs Jabba's guards and mercs.
