Hangars and stuff

can someone show me a tut or give me advice on how to add ship and hangar interiors to frigates or in my case the donut shaped fedcorship
You'd have to use a modeling program to cut some holes into the model to put hangars in.
There's already a fed core ship with those holes somewhere around here...
