Mild language in Battlefront 2

The LucasArts website has just been updated. Battlefront 2 is completely finished and the ESRB has already given it its rating. It has recieved a "T" for teen (of course) for violence and MILD LANGUAGE. Gah. They added language...? Ok....I guess that could be a good thing though...in some aspects. In game talk (like shown in the E3 trailer) really does exist and obviously it gets rough...

So the mild language is refering to dialogue heard during online play?

No, because then any game with online play would have "MILD LANGUAGE".

Hmm, but I could be wrong... :?

No, it doesn't mean online play at all. The ESRB doesn't rate it by that. It says below the rating that play may change online, but no specifics. The mild language is in game. Single player. Real time dialogue spoken between troops. "Mild" referring to the "d and h" words most likely.

"d and h?" that's just great. They shud make a new ESRB rating so that they can ban little kids from playing this kinda games. I just hate it when young ppl (10-12) suddenly keeps asking u how to do Recon strikes, lay mines, etc etc.

Or maybe it's simply not the same idea as ours. Oh, I dunno. It seemed like an unnecessary thing to say but I think some people consider a classic line in Star Wars.

yeah just a tad. lol.

Maybe it doesn't make sense, but it still adds atmosphere. It worked well for Republic Commando. So could this mean there is more battle chatter? (I always love chatter ^_^) As for the whole hell thing, I guess it's possible for it to be in the SW. Since:

The concept of Hell originated from the word Gehenna which means; "The Common Grave of Mankind". In ancient times Gehenna was the name of the location they threw all the dead bodies that either couldn't afford a grave, or when there was simply too many bodies (like after a war). They would then burn the bodies for sanitary reasons. Of course as time passed on then you know it all turned into what we know it as today. So I guess it's possible in the SW universe if the concept of Hell was not changed from the original (The commong grave of mankind) meaning then technically it would exist.

End of boring post.

Umm geo, it's on the official site you linked to. Click the Game Info tab, then the Features tab. In the bold text it says It's rated Teen and lists one reason as Mild language. See for yourself.
