Can you extract the scripts from shell.lvl with Battlebelk's tools? Maybe it would be easier to try to rebuild the code that handles eras, that way you can have more than just Clone Wars and Galactic Civil War, giving you the freedom you want.

Oh, and a long time back you asked about localization. I found a list of all SWBF1 localizations that came with the game (their keys, and English text values).

That's okay, I figured out localization before I released version 6. When a level munges, it pulls from three sources for the localization: the map's localization, the Localization folder in Data/ and the Localization folder in Data/_SOURCE_PC. I'll look into BattleBelk's tools to see if I can find what I'm looking for.

Some research had been done into script decompilation back into LUA but I do not know what became of it.

Postponed for now, as I said in the video update.

Deviss has said he might make the BF2 troopers with the proper kama for BF1 (as in BF1, for those of you who don't know, capes are actually part of the model) I haven't heard back from him yet, although that's not entirely surprising as he probably has many demands of his time with BF2 modders and a personal life etc.

I'm sorry to have to tell you this but it appears as though the Main Play Mod for SWBF1 may not be going anywhere for the forseeable future. I'd love to transfer what I've done to BFII now I have the DVD version (the Steam version always ran badly). I feel as though I've reached the limits of the SWBF engine and I need something more that SWBF1 just doesn't have. More than six units, multiple eras, these are all the things SWBF2 can do that SBF1 cannot, and I feel that with SWBF1 I did what I set out to do which is to let everybody know there was still appeal in releasing maps and mods for the game even though everybody else had gone over to BF2. I may or may not come back to this mod in the future but right now I do not want to finish Main Play Mod 7.
