Textures in a multiplayer?

I have a question with modding in Star Wars Battlefront 2. I do not know if this is possible, but can you edit the skin on your self and the AI for a multiplayer if the people you are playing do not have the file? If so, where can I find out how to do this?
Thanks, Krornus

Yes, all visual things can be changed without breaking online compatibility. So you can just

1 make a new map (using the modtools obviously)
2 copy the side you want to edit from assets to your new maps side folder
3 edit the skins you want to edit (or even models and effects if you want to)
4 munge
5 go to your battlefront 2 direction and to Gamedata/addon/yourmapsthreelettername/data/_LVL_PC/SIDE and copy your new side
6 go to Star Wars Battlefront II/GameData/data/_lvl_pc/side and replace the side with your new one (making a backup of the old one is recommended, just rename it instead of replacing it.)
7 ???
8 profit

obviously, those who are playing online with you will still have the old units, they wont be able to see what you did there

ok thank you, i was wondering how you could do that... :D btw, is there a way to make it so that they can see you with your textures without the files?

Thanks,
