Not really, they just are doing a sequel.
I don't think you understand. Family Guy began to run out of jokes when they made the first one, and now that they're completely out, they have to make a sequel to their last Star Wars special.
the trilogy was already planned to be done back at the first one.

Besides, Family Guy isn't out of jokes, that's the Simpsons.

Every episode of Family Guy has its dim moments but every episode also has some pretty good jokes and there this usual at least one joke that makes you laugh hard. As for the simpson they have been airing that show for a long time and they really are out. There are only so many jokes.

I don't think you understand. 'Blue Harvest' had about 10.7 million viewers the night of its original airing so the producers would be stupid not to make a second one. Besides, like Lord Bardar said... they had originally planned the trilogy.

That doesn't mean they're not out of ideas. It's like If I said they're out of new trees and you tried to prove me wrong by showing me a tree they already planted years ago.

But what you're saying is that if they take their best tree and create a genetically enhanced clone of it (which is what was planned from the start), it would still not be a new tree. Plus, there's the fact that we're its not the right season to plant new trees. The tree planters are waiting for spring to start so they can start a new season of bulk tree planting, but they're not out of seeds.

For those of you who got lost in that analogy:
Blue Harvest's sequel was planned from the start, so you can't say they're running out of ideas if this one just took a while to implement (copyright, storyline, perfecting it so the show is worthy of the fans' standards for a good Star Wars parody). Plus, Seth MacFarlane is pretty good at having a new season of Family Guy out every year or so. This just happens to be one of those times that a new season is not being released.

Defidently Family Guys best seasons were 1-4. Although I'm liking the way season 8 is starting.

Season 8 has been very solid. Only two were meek. Family Guy still has jokes, but at times they do reuse some just for a quick laugh.

SSSD looks very promising and I can't wait. I don't really want to see any more teasers or sneak peeks, so I can laugh even more when I watch it. Blue Harvest still isn't boring to me after watching over 20 times.

I just finished watching it then and I must say it is quite hilarious at times. I think it beats Blue Harvest because there is a joke every few seconds (so clearly, they haven't run out of jokes). If your a Family Guy fan then you will love some of the old jokes they put into this one.

yeah i just finished watching it, definitely beats blue harvest. there's quite some strong language, but it's really funny when used. i must admit, i thought when i knew they were going to use a previously used joke it would be bad, but it was in fact the opposite. i think we can all guess that Meg will be the Rancor in the ROTJ episode.

Ha Ha, well it won't be Peter who plays him since he is already Han Solo. They may have to use a character that was barely used in the previous ones. I think they may use Ope even though he was a tusken in Blue Harvest.

The Rancor will be Meg. :)

Yeah, Meg will definitely be the Rancor. Perhaps Tom Tucker will be Jabba? Nah, that wouldn't work. Although I bet his son will be an Ewok, or something in Jabba's palace.

They could have Tom be Jabba and his son be Salacious Crumb. :P
