Remove Bump-Mapping From Textures/Models
Hello GT, is there any way that I could remove Bump-Mapping from the Rhen Var Textures/Models?

Remove the bump textures from your msh folder, do a manual clean, munge and you're done. Although I have to wonder, why do you want to remove the bump-mapping?

You should also remove the following line from the models' .msh.option files:
Code: Select all
-bump [name of texture 1] [name of texture 2]...[name of texture n]-

Marvel4 said that bump mapping creates a huge problem when it comes to graphics, so that made me post this topic on GT.No, the problem is the bump mapping. Utapau has an extremely low performance on my PC, Rhen Var runs perfect (I have the HD 5850). I think the problem are the ATI drivers...

Yes, but he also said Rhen Var ran fine. In addition it is not fair to people with better computers to not let them see the game at it's best. It's much easier to keep the bump mapping and turn Lighting down to medium, instead of High.modmaster13 wrote:forums/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=25739THEWULFMAN wrote:Although I have to wonder, why do you want to remove the bump-mapping?

I completely agree with, WULF.
Bottomline is the game has adjustable settings for a reason, and that is to fit the preference of users.
You know what I say? I say that shadows create a huge problem instead when it comes to graphics. I get extremely low frame rates on maps with plenty of objects that cast shadows when shadows are set on high. That's why I usually play with it on low. I suppose you better start a topic asking how to remove shadows from models now...modmaster13 wrote:Marvel4 said that bump mapping creates a huge problem when it comes to graphics.
