model.req and shadow volume error

ok, i made a sword, gave it an hp_active and put it under a null dummyroot and branch selected DummyRoot and clicked file crosswalk export. i cheacked export selection only and triangulate and then used mshex to convert it. i munge and the model gets a .model.req problem in the munge log, is there something special i need to do w/ a sword?

i just named it rep_weap_inf_lightsabre.msh to replace the existing model.

ok, its kinda changed..... it says something about shadow volume, all things i have cheaked in xsi are: verbose, export selection only, keep reference paths relative, export used materials and images only, convert geometry to triangles, export xsi normals.

I think it needs an hp_fire but I don't see that causing all of those problems.

it shouldent need an hp fire because nothing acturaly fires from it, i dont know what the shadow mesh problem is

It will just use the dummyroot as an hp if it can't find one.
The bigger problem is your model, as it states you have bad edges or vertexes that are not connected properly or are just an edge kind of thing and it is trying to create a shadow mesh from it but can't handleit.
Post a picture of you model (object selected) so it highlights everything

got it working, it was that i have a bunch of light blue lines on my object
