I really need help. I am trying to make a Clone Wars for Hoth conquest level. I am successfully able to make a copy of the map and edit the troops. However, I cannot make changes to the map in zeroeditor, which means I can't add the vehicles that I want.
I know how to make a new map entirely, but I can't edit this copy of Hoth. Does anyone know how? I've seen that other people have remade levels, such as Geonosis for the rebels and empire, or Endor for republic and droids.
Thanks for your help.

RE: Modding Shipped maps
You probably have to change layers. Switch to conquest and then add vehicle spawns.

I had this problem before.
I ended up ditching the map (I was trying to bring the BF2 geonosis into my series as an arc trooper map taking place during end of battle of geo), but I will probably revisit.
Basically, I could edit the sides to my liking, well, I should say I could edit the map to the extent of the lua. None of the world changes worked. I'm a bit confused as to why this happened.
Perhaps the developers put something to restrain editing of the maps.
I can't help now. But if I ever find the solution I'll let you know.

ha, i modded a couple of the shipped maps.
the easy way to do this is go to the assets/worlds and copy the world you want to edit into your worlds folder.
so youd copy/paste "HOT" into your worlds folder of you project. Then edit the map or what ever and in VisualMunge scroll down to HOT and munge it.
After this you dont really need the other world, HCW, any more. HOT becomes your project.
EDIT: youll have to rename the scripts too becuase the HOT world uses diferent scripts. just go to BFIIModTools/assets/scripts and copy the HOT folder into your BF2_ModTools\data_XXX\Common\scripts folder.
