Is it possible to scale down or up a texture while keeping the uv layout correct? without redoing the uv in xsi?
if so, how?
like from
2024x2024 to 1012x1012

You should be able to scale the tga no problem. The UVs will follow it is all relative.
But looking at your example numbers, and I know that is just what they are, but what ever you scale it to has to be a power of 2 (512 x 512 or 1024 x 1024 or 2048 x 2048 etc) as well you have to scale it evenly. Meaning if it started as 1024 x 1024 and you want to scale it down it should be, for example, 512 x 512 you cannot do 512 x 256.

These are multiples of 2

, power of 2 are 1 2 4 8 16 32 64 128 256 1024, etc
