ok here is a true vid i swear this is true this has been posted on swbf files by mav and the gang

only one word wow want the link? its in the hide section

and sickass cut sences: my view on swbf files:
Hidden/Spoiler:
i just saw this on u tube i was going to post it about 1 second ago before i saw this lol

all i got to say if rebelian muck this game up then rebelion have got to uit there jobs because this is the best star wars games iv seen i was literally memorised this is one sick looking game. the cut scenes are some of the best i have ever seen. i hope this comes out on pc as there has been some words hats have said no pc but if this comes out on the pc then the game will be endless because of mods using this cool tech.

pros from the trailer:
cool cut scenes
clones with out helmets
space battles in space and ground
flying in the ships like the hangers, the ships engine ports (i think)
good running style like real-call of duty series
not just clones, droids, stormtroopers, rebels but gun guns ftw (cant wait to hs a gungun that looks like jarjar)
cool building skins
nice lighting
good looking missions (i think)
up to date clones like saber troopers and skins
did i say cool sut scenes

cons:
none...other that rebellion are taking over, shame the credit crunch is effecting gamming companys too

i dont know if this is the utube version but here is link:
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=b5Zb0iSWG ... -3-footage

i cant wait

The size of the cruisers and star destroyers... They are the same size as in SW B 2, which is about 1/3 their real size in the films.

Remember Free Radical and X that we know even the cruisers real letgh.
Two things:

1-Not very many people know their real length
2-Would you actually want to fly for 3-4 minutes from bow to stern? That would be some freakin' slow gameplay considering how big the map would need to be.

That I find hard to believe. Games don't make it to release dates without advertising at least a few months in advance (and this has seen none). Not to mention the company making it went under.
Yeah, I realize that too. But who knows? Maybe it will be relased in March. I highly doubt it though, like Mav said. There hasn't even been a trailer released for the game yet and they just gave us some possible gameplay footage. But I do hope it is released soon! And I hope the lightsaber fighting is a lot better than that of BF2.

I only have one thing to say: Please don't disappoint us!!

Well, maybe they'll give out a trailer real soon since if they plan to release it on March 15th, that's exactly two months away seeing how today is the 15th of January.

Believe it or not, they're not that far off.

To go off topic for a second - let me crunch some numbers for you.
A unit in SWBF2 jogs at a speed of "7" and sprints at 1.5 times that (10.5) (this is arbitrary)
TIE Interceptors, in SWBF2, fly at a speed of "80" and boost to "105" (for purposes of this we'll use the number "95", which is right in the middle, since I boost about half the time).

So TIE Interceptors fly (in SWBF2) at approximately 9 times a human's sprinting speed (this is very slow, but this is just a gameplay decision). We'll say a human's running is about 10 m/s (this is an overestimation, the fastest men in the world sprint at a little over 10 m/s - however, you can see that the troopers in SWBF2 run abnormally fast).

So SWBF2 Interceptors fly at 90m/s.

It takes about 14 seconds to fly from tip to stern on SWBF2's star destroyers, in a TIE interceptor, using boost whenever possible. This estimates SWBF2's star destroyers to be 1260 meters - which is 75% the length given for Imperial-class Star Destroyers (1600m).

In any case, be careful what you wish for. Games are made to be games, not history simulators or encyclopedias. The attitude of "make it canon at all costs" is a bad one and gets in the way of not only having mass-marketable games, but also at having fun ones.

revanshan wrote:Yes, I want them original size, mainly because of the inside. If it's not the original sice then its interior is 100% fake.

But also because I don't feel like being in the battle whn I see that a jedi starfighteg can get suck between the two command towers of a Republican Cruiser.

At least 2/3 size FGS. And more speed for the fighter if needed.

Did you even read what I posted? They are more than 2/3 size.

And there are good reasons for adapting function over form, and you can't be so hardheaded "I WANT CANON" that you ignore them.

I saw noting to complain about in the video all looked really great and I liked the new animations for the units but the Jedi Starfighter flew kinda like in SWBF2 which is still okay.

So i saw the video on Kotaku and at the end of the video it says which systems and from what i can make out with all the blurriness and the .3 seconds before the camera shakes I see....

PS3, ????, 360, Wii, PC.

I'm sad that Free Radical couldn't finish it, because from that footage I see tons of improvements and made me totally happy. Rebillion should do a decent job of finishing what Free Radical started. I'm really really excited now, and there's an new story?

I don't know how much you can count on wikipedia, but it says that it has been handed to Rebellion.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars_ ... efront_III

I also noticed that last few seconds of the video. Here's what I see it says:
Star Wars
Battlefront III
PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PC
Alpha Build (Nov 2008)
Free Radical Design - Internal Use Only

Thank you, Free Radical, for a PC version!!!

Oh, and at 2:16 I think that's old Obi Wan

Well at least they've got a reliable source for that info. We gotta be careful though, even the source says "it's believed to have been shipped to Rebellion". From the trailer I'd be flat-out surprised if Lucasarts didn't have someone pick up the development, especially considering SWBF1/SWBF2 are some of their all-time best sellers.

Totally, LA would have to be complete fools to not have another dev pick it up.

Sidenote: Can't remember the time, but the ewok section, did he just headbutt the trooper in the groin? and kill him?

PC! YES! Actually, I thought that the unit anims looked pretty bad on the rebels. And can Zeroengine not use Havok? I'd imagine that LA would use DMM, Euphoria, and Havok on at least 360/PS3, which its pretty evident this trailer was on. But I'm glad to see it's still in Zero, mah fave engine :D

I couldn't recognize a few of the cutscene fights, but I'm assuming they are bringing some non cannon Ideas and maps into this game, which will be a great change. Also, Jar Jar on tatooine?
