As the name tells, in due time I will be releasing a map called Final Dispute: Apocolypsic Battle.
It is a Hero Assault map, that, of course, is supposed to have a setting that looks like Apocolypse!
When I checked out a different thread in this forum, Mos Eisley Apoc., it got me thinking...then this map popped out!

Storyline:
The Emperor has tricked all Jedi into going to the moon of Aeten II. He has rallyed up all of the Dark Side's most powerful to ambush the Jedi on their arrival. The Jedi think they are going to negotiate with CIS leaders, but they dont know how wrong they are. When the Jedi arrive, they see no signs of life. Just empty buildings and other establishments. But then the siths insantly assault with all their might! The jedi & sith are causing tremendous power that is breaking the moon apart! Lava is bursting out of the surface, mountains are raising, protruding through structures! The fight for survival is on! Who will get off the moon before it implodes?

Yea, I know, cruddy storyline lol

The map will consist of:
Sides
All non-Clone Wars characters will be taken away
Many lava outbreaks everywhere (death regions)
Really funky lookin' mountains
A real destructive look, etc

I know thats not very descriptive but Im not really choosing the best time to do this, sorry! ^^

Delays in map release so far:
Still have to edit the sky to a Mustafaric + Mygeeto type look
Have to find out why a lot of objects have no collision geometry
LUA needs to be edited
More space needs to be filled up
I must know how to add lava that will kill you!

Wait...so what exactly is this map about? Another apocalyptic setting with a doomsday environment and/or zombies? The screens have some nice detail to them (your comp must be pretty nice or it's the resolution of those pics), but I'm not really getting what you're aiming for in this map.

Good looking map. SOme custom sides would be nice...

@phazon_elite: think apocolypsic/apocalyptic is a reference to the environment.

Nice idea. But I don't think, that the story goes with the name.
If I hear "Final Dispute: Apocolypsic Battle!", I think of a "Non-StarWars"-World with special sides.^^ But let's see what it will become. :thumbs: I like the map.

Yea Im gonna add custom sides to it-where would maps be without them? The aim of the map is that the Sith have all summed up on one planet to ambush the jedi, and the power between the two fighting is causing chaotic descruction, etc and since all the warriors are fighting at once, there will be only one side that is victorious, which makes it the final dispute

-Still need to find how to make lava that players will die in


Map is almost done except for the lava! :thumbs: (and custom sides)

Find death regions for the killing lava.... Death region tut is in the FAQ.

Add a region in ZE and call it deathregion and make sure that you type in deathregion for the label thing too. THen in your lua add

	AddDeathRegion("deathregion")
after function ScriptPostLoad()

Water thats not transparent with a lava texture. And if you fall into water, you die slowly. If you fell in a pit of lava, its instant... Trust me... 8)

Map does look like a ruined city but don't you think normal hero assault is already too boring?

Although I don't know if this is copying, I think adding strange creatures in this kind of destroyed city map to kill would be better like Mos Eisley's...be creative.

yeah i've stepped in lava too....instant death man. I was lucky in that no one above or below wanted me, so i got sent back. twice.

lol sorry y'all for interuption, but i was bored today
Anyway, have you changed the default sky yet? i think the one in the pics is the default, cruddy yavin one right? If it were truly to be "Apocolypsic", maybe have a either dark or burning red sky? That would make it a whole lot cooler. I like the idea behind this though :wink:

I think its one of those overdone ideas. Ive seen too many maps with mygeeto stuff, and now it just feels like mygeeto each time you play. And each map sort of looks and feels the same.

I added a Mustafar sky 'n backround, and new objects have been added (not mygeeto). Still working on lava and planning.
