How to save a scene?

How to save a scene?

Sorry for the noob question but I cant save scenes... I get an invalid project location error or the disk is write protected. Help?

It would help others help you if you state which program and version of it you are using and provide specifications regarding your computer, such as its operating system, etc.

Ah, i had this error this week, i just saved to a dekstop folder and it worked, i hope it helps.

I am using Softimage 2013, and windows vista home premium. Hope that helps!

Make sure you're running it as an Administrator.

Running Softimage as an administrator? I can try that and see if it works. Where should I save the file to?

If you're running it as an Admin, you should be able to save it anywhere. This problem can come around on Win7/Vista if you run a program without Admin status and try to save in a folder that requires an Admin's permission to modify.
