Actually, I'm glad you bumped it. I just finished the layout earlier this evening. I need to finish the units. The ARC Troopers are in place and working, but I haven't assinged them the weapons that I want to just yet. The Clone Troopers also now spawn at the downed ship (they are the yellow team) and work to capture control points with the ARCs. So, in order to finish, I need to:
1-Finish up the ARC units (weaponry)
2-Create a droid leader (probably some SBD reskin)
3-Tweak gameplay
4-Find out how to get unit names to work (like "ARC Delta 23 killed Unit 234")
5-Figure out how to create ambient lighting so that when you're near the lava, you have a red glow on you.
6-Preview movie
7-Respawn cams

Just so nobody wonders, this will probably be my last BF1 map, and possibly my last map ever. I love doing it, but I have to many resposibilities that aren't getting done. Plus, editing/playing video games constantly takes its toll on you. I'm not saying I'm for sure quitting. All I'm saying is that there are more important things to do.
Sullust will be finished. The way things look it should not take to long.

Okay, I figure I'll release an early beta -- I'd like to get bugs fixed along the way, and hopefully this will do the trick.
Known Bugs:
1-The CIS hero is still Count Dooku - I haven't decided what to do for that
2-Unit names don't work right, so if an ARC or Clone kills someone, you probably won't see a message
3-I found a way to create red ambient light, but I haven't placed them all yet
4-There's a few places where the troopers will fall due to barriers not being far enough from the cliffs
To Do:
1-Finish up the ARC units (weaponry)
----The sharpshooter's rifle I want to be like the Imperial Rifle - - it has two different zoom lengths
----The Captain has a shotgun as a secondary weapon, and grenades have been replaced w/ seismic mines (need to test)
----I still need to do the Captain's first person arms. Right now they are blue

Other than that, if you see a bug, please let me know, it makes things 100 times easier to have you guys report ones I might miss, rather than play 100 games. lol1

O.K., I found out some new information. They are no "medic" classes in SW (for the main four armies). They have droids for that, otherwise almost any soldier can perform medical aid.
The Republic ARC Troopers only have two ranks. One rank is the standard (blue). The other is captain (red). They don't have commanders. Any so-called "Republic ARC Commanders" are not Republic ARc Troopers at all, but Republic Clone Commanders that have had training by Republic ARC Troopers (like Commander Cody and Commander Gree). The commanders just like to brag about being trained by Republic ARC Troopers and sometimes informally refer to themselves as Republic ARC Commanders.
So, the Republic ARC Troopers only have two ranks. Make every class blue, besides the captain (red). There are Republic ARC Trooper Pilots (I think), as seen in the CW Cartoons. I think they had blue markings and flew the Custom ARC LAAT/i.

Yeah, ARC A-98 "Nate" was an ARC Trooper, and he died during the mission to Ord Cestus. However, perhaps I'll just put Commander Nate instead of ARC Commander Nate. I'll have to fix that up.MajinRevan wrote:O.K., I found out some new information. They are no "medic" classes in SW (for the main four armies). uuhmmm... check again, there WERE ARC commanders!

although this is the clone commander page, teh page linking to it stated that ARC trooper commanders donned yellow armor and led all types of ARC troopers.
