I open the tantive 4 infantry tga (copy) with gimp, but when I view it with one program I see all of it, the different parts all over. But when I open to edit with gimp all i see is one black thing and barely see an outline of a white part of the helmet but nothing else. How do I see/edit the rest than? :(

around it (well it's the backround

edit: the black thing is part of the skin/tga, the outline looks exactly like another part of it just not white transparent

I'll just edit it with my other program (but it uses paint, hope that works)

Gimp is a much better image editing program than paint so I reccomend you use it. And to answer the question to how to make the skin visible, click layer, hover your mouse over transparency, and then click remove alpha channel.

Oh and this is a bit off topic but just to save you from having to post another topic, when you're saving your skin always do save as and make sure you uncheck RLE compression.

It's for an older version of GIMP, it should be in Colors -> Components. Don't be afraid to look around a bit.

If all else fails, you could use programs like Photofiltre, or if you have it, photoshop.

It won't fail and plus he would need to reapply the alpha channel layer.

Ok, I did look around just only for a minute because i had to leave. :maulsaber:

edit: I didn't work but. . . . I can open it with my other program, save it as tga !rle on! then open with gimp, edit and save with rle off and it worked ingame!!! <this causes it in gimp so i can actually see everything instead some messed up thing!
