I know the AI will walk out of their way to pickup a health pack if they needed health. However, has anyone noticed them standing around health droids when they needed health too?
I want some damaged bots to actively seek health if it isn't too far way. I'm not sure if I should manually spawn a bunch of health packs or just use a health droid.

Just wondering, what are you using this for? Is it just a standard Conquest game and you want bots to go after health when they need it, or is this for a certain circumstance or otherwise?

Re: AI behavior around Health Droids
It's for a RTS map. I don't want the AI controller to waste using an AI goal telling bots to go heal themselves. If you build a health droid in a pathway, the damaged AI might walk right by it and not get healed. But if it's a health pack, I know they'll take a few steps to grab it.
The least needed AI goals, the better control you have over the map.

Re: AI behavior around Health Droids
I have occaisionallly standing around near the health droids when I heal at one. I know they are truly following me (in that wierd AI way where they pretend they aren't), but when I heal they seem to try and get within the range of the health droid, while at other times they keep their distance.

in my novice opinion, you should just spawn some health packs alongside the AI paths, but use an inconspicuous model that is scaled down, that way it wont look like crap. Also if there is a way to make it not heal humans that would be even better so that you dont randomly gain health. Or, if possible, when the unit hits the low health threshold, have them seek cover (not sure how to do this), then do the dispense ammo animation, and spawn a health pack at their location. Hope my ideas spark your mind and give you ideas.
