.msh problem [Solved]

i replaced a tatoine rock msh with like a lava rock msh for a map and whenever i add it on zeroeditor its just a black object with no msh?

Um, does the lava texture you applied to the rock work on other
objects like ground texture or is is a untryed texture?
Also do you name the new texture the same name as the old texture? Because the msh/rock asks for it's texture tga by name, I believe, and therefore needs the exact same name for any texture you try to apply to it

well im using a msh u use for the ground which is "mus1_main_1.tga" so i have liek a black rock type of thing

Well all I can say is mudge the map and see what happens to the rock
or/and try a different texture on the rock like a box texture or something to see if it's just ground texture thats messeds up when you put it on other stuff.

i tryed munging but the rock is just plain black in swbf but i dont have the same problem when i do other mshs from objectds like if i tryed putting a CC msh on a rock it worked

Is the ground texture unusual in some way?
Is it a moving texture?
Maybe it has a .option file that didn't get transfered over when you transfered the texture?
I'm picking at straws so I'm not sure

it has to have the same name and same size (ex. it has to be 256 pixels by 256 pixels), with no rle compression and the right version of tga

but your problem is most likely the second

EDIT: i fixed the problem and its working but im trying to make like objects with custom paint and when i paint them in gimp and save the tgas the blocks or ojects just show up like a grey square

try resaving in paint.net that works for me and still without rle compression

in gimp you have to "save as..." and turn rle compression of.

yea but in gimp it saves in the wrong version of tga for me even with rle compression off

well turning off rle worked for me now all my mshs work
