I'd just like to say this project has turned into a disaster. I've made way too many empty promises about the release date, screenshots, etc., and I've faced a ton tiny, aggravating issues with the map itself.

The good news: the map is finished. The bad news: I can't upload it. Due to my 49K connection, every upload attempt has failed. I'm sorry I can't share this with map with you guys; I've made a ton of stuff for this; mainly props of vehicles and their corresponding destroyed chunks. I even put in a prop Hovernaut! Oh well. From now on, I'll keep my mouth shut on such projects until I've succesfully completed and/or uploade them. Sorry for so much dissappointment.

P.S. This should have been moved to Map/Mod Announcements long ago.

Gynt,
You should consider setting up a download resume program I used those for years until I set up a cable modem network. Also good luck with your map I'm looking forward to checking it out.

Gynt', do you think you could upload your new "Ord Mantell : Junkyard" release in "retail parts" on YouSendIt, or send them to chosen GameToast members so as to merge all provided files into a usable level ?

@ Krun: Haven't heard of a download resume program. A little more info would be useful.

@ Trans: Not sure if I can do that; I'll have to check and see if I can send a file that big.

@Leviathan: I'll get back to you on that. I can't do it during the week and I'm busy Saturday; maybe Sunday or next weekend.

There may be hope yet.

Gynt,
Here is a link to a freeware download resume program I found on the net. What it will do is allow you to resume a download at your convenience if your download is interrupted. I used Go!Zilla for years until I learned about there adware. I also used GetRight for years as well, but it is not freeware. Hope this helps.

P.S. I've never used Simple Download so I can't tell you how well it works. Also download resume programs only work on sites that allow download resume. The program should tell you if the site supports it or not.

Krun, I do not wish to offend you, but you've provided us hints on how to resume downloads, but not uploads...
Therefore, are you sure we're talking of the same thing ?...

The SPtest needs to be in Your C://Program Files/Lucasarts/Battlefront/Addon folder to work. ;)

Actually, it needs to be in your Battlefront/Gamedata to work properly. Where battlefront.exe is.

Leviathan,
My bad I thought he was saying he was having a problem downloading, don't know if those programs can resume uploads though.

If you really want to release it, a solution would be to put it on a USB drive or CD, then go somewhere with Hi-Speed internet (even a library if you must) and upload it.

A little off topic but, I take a class called CISCO, its about computers, and when I download something using the schools T1 connection I put it on my mp3 player. It rocks!

You could also install I peer to peer program such as Bit Torrent, WinMX, etc.. and allow a member to download the files from you, even if your connection is broken you can reconnect and they can resume the download. I don't use peer to peer programs for security reasons, but you could install it temporarily.

Still on the same way, I've noticed that Windows Live Messenger owns a feature called "Shared Folders". In fact, this process may allow chosen contacts to get files located inside these directories...
If you're interested, Gynt', just let me know about that...

@ Teancum: I'll see if I can do that; I didn't know you could do things like that.

@ Krun: I can't use the peer to peer for security reasons either.

@ Leviathan: ??????

Thanks for all the support. I'll try what Teancum suggested first, then move on to some of the others. I'm glad there's still interest with this map.

I guess you've not got what I said above... To sum up, I'd say I could try to download your current "Ord Mantell : Junkyard" release from your computer, through a private Peer-To-Peer network, using the brand-new version of MSN Messenger... (Also known as "Windows Live Messenger")

If you have additional questions, do not hesitate to ask them to me...
