Zerted released a very long time ago a (Concept) tutorial, source, and test map on SWBF Files for elevators.

ok for a elevator in my DS map i only put the region EVL1_R3 and EVL1_R4 is that right?

Dunno, I think you're one of the first to actually try and make a map with the source he released. But, in the end you'll probably find that the AI aren't smart enough to use them.

ya i know the Ai are not suppost to use it
i think i will not have the elevator in my map yet
lets just take the easy way by going into the garbage as a jet trooper and then go up into the second/third/forth floor

But those are diffent, they where just animated props.
Zerted's exaple used lua script to trigger animations.
