WIP TOPIC BELOW

Some of you've been waiting for this one. I just got it in and played some preliminary rounds of Conquest and Hero Assault, and lemmie tell you, it's even more fun in BF2 than BF1. :D

Through looking in ZE and yoda's exploratory abilities, I've found a few things on this map I didn't even know were there.

I had to clean up the underworld (lots of unseen debris under the terrain) and re-make some of the fences in order to get it down under the object limit. I'll probably clean up even more of the fences and make some other adjustments as well. The bot routes needed some cleanup to get under the 255 limit as well. And there's NO barriers in this map. That's going to take quite a while to do. I've found one of the keys to good AI is barriers around anything that they can run into, and there's a lot to run into on this map.

Enough of that, let's see some screenies

I'm beginning to sense a pattern here; first Italia, now this... not that I'm complaining, of course!

It looks great so far! I never saw this for BFI, looks like I missed out.

Quick question: are you going to include Classic Conquest in this?

They're great maps and very old-school.

Yeah, does need lighting. These were taken the first time I got it to load, so there's lots of stuff that needs doing. Tons of flickery walls/roofs from geometry being on the exact same plane, levitating trees, routes for flag and eli modes, fences need repositioning, and various other tidying up.

Got done most of what I listed. Flag modes are set up, put in the 'sun', all barriers are in (whew!), trees grounded, fences arranged, an best of all fixed that LIP at the end of that small bridge in the back. If anyone has played this map a lot in BF1, you know what I mean. I used to get so annoyed by getting stuck on that thing. I looked at all the same-plane flickery stuff and some of it has gaps in the geometry, so it's a question of whether it looks worse flickering or showing the gaps. Just need to do a few rounds of preliminary testing and I should have a Beta ready by early next week, if not sooner.
