Few peoples else asked for that map, my reply always was the same one: it's definitely lost. Someone on the forum here has this map and many other rare ones (both Bandu's and Gogie's maps), but our contact by PM has ceased long ago and he doesn't seem to be active anymore.
I don't reveal his name because I already asked him (too) many times and don't want him spammed

Sorry Ant, you'll have to pass this one. And I doubt any place on the net is like Gametoast - we are probably one of the last communities working on SWBF 2, I don't think you'll find it elsewhere.

EDIT: Does anyone have this map: I downloaded it from Filefront, but when I tried to extract it, it said the file was corrupt.
I also tried repairing the archive and using 7zip instead, but it didn't work.
If someone could give me a link to a non-corrupted file, I'd appreciate it.

I'm currently reading the X-Wing novels and therfore I'm totally in love to play Space and ground/air maps as the Rebel alliance :biggs:

I've reinstalled my BF2 a few weeks ago and did not backup the whole addons folder. Now I'm missing an era mod which I didn't even know about until I played a few rounds just before I reinstalled the game.

In the mods space maps you had a cockpit view and if I remember right in the X-Wings you've been able to couple the cannons to fire all 4 of it to do increased damage. Also the lasers fired semi automatic, not fully like in the most other mods I played.

I've installed Dark Times, BFX - no clue which mod could be the one I search for.

Does anyone have an idea?

And when I'm at it: Are there any other mods/maps instead of the two I named where the space battles are a bit more simulator like (cockpit view, limited torpedos etc.).

There aren't any, really. Your best bet is playing a game from the X-Wing (/TIE Fighter) series, which are what Stackpole and Allston used as references in writing the X-Wing series of books. SWBF2 doesn't support a wide variety of vehicle weapons options (things like toggleable changes to weapons, power resource management, etc.) - it's not designed to. The closest mods you'll find to that kind of flight realism are going to be mods that use cockpit views (like the ones you mentioned above), and you'll just have to look through them to decide which ones have weapons you think are closest to what you want.

The only way you'll find something like your example "you've been able to couple the cannons to fire all 4 of it to do increased damage" is by finding a vehicle that uses two separate weapons for this (like the TIE Interceptor in Dark Times 2) or chargeable weapon states (like the Y-Wing in Dark Times 1/2).

I've made a couple of space maps that are love letters to the X-Wing-style of space combat, and you might like them, but there's nothing in Battlefront 1/2 that stacks up to actually playing the games. If you're a fan of the books, give a game like TIE Fighter or X-Wing Alliance a try.

I bought X-Wing Alliance last year, never played it before. I had to play it with a PS3 Controller, it was horrible to play. Of course it's a wonderful game and I really like it - but a remake would be great. But also I think I'll give it a new try, maybe I'll organize myself a joystick.

But first I will search for a few of your "X-Wing loveletters". I really enjoy playing DT2, especially the Mon Calamari Map with the Nebulon Bs!

I'm still wondering which mod I played before the reinstall. The X-Wing Lasers have been chargeable like for example the ground forces Bowcasters or Mortar launchers.
