Is there a way to bypass the planning connections limit?

Is there any way to have more than 255 connections in ZE planning? When I have more, mungelog says this error and repeats it with each additional connection above 255

Code: Select all

ERROR[pathplanningmunge world2\tat2.pln]:too many Connections! (max 255, you have 256)
Is there a way to bypass this limit?

Note that your planning doesn't need to be super-exact.
If you have set your barriers with care the units will walk around them even if it's in the middle of you planning path/hub (mostly, at least ).

yeah thats probably true but I actually adding "jump" functions to the connections which cause AI to jump when they step on the hub into the direction of the connected hub.

Im doing this for the stock maps (currently Mos Eisley) to make AI appear smarter and increase the difficulty (they get around map faster that way also)

but to jump more you have to have more connected hubs

does anyone know if it's the game's limitation or the ZE/munge limitation? That would help me in finding the fix that would allow for more (if its game's limitation then theres no fix but if it ZE limitation then I might be able to do something, though my chances are low)

It's an in-game limitation.

Just a limit, technically. An eight year old game was never meant to have things on such a large/intricate scale. Limitation makes it sound like poor game code.
