As the title suggests I have a short noobish about browngt. no not brownies about the sides. i can change the skins of a unit like that but i can't change units models like lets say the ep3_rifleman into the ep2_rifleman. if anyone could give me advice and/or tell me how to do this i would be most appreciatative

Rename?

All you have to do is open the file called rep_inf_trooper (found in the PC folder of the odf folder) and copy everything under the [Properties] and paste it in the file called rep_inf_ep3_rifleman (found in the odf folder) under [Properties]. Make sure you have no more original content in the rep_inf_ep3_rifleman file except the

[GameObjectClass]
ClassParent = "rep_inf_default_rifleman"

at the top.
