I tried to do this, and it didnt work. I played and it just shut down.

i couldn“t see anything wrong with your all side but did you also follow all steps to create a new side?

Maybe I shouldve swapped models instead of messing with the ODFs.

You should have it installed. Look in your BFBuilder/Assets folder.

From the documentation with the mod tools:

The SPtest.exe located in the assets folder is a debug tool that should be placed in the Lucasarts/battlefront/gamedata folder and run instead of the battlefront.exe. It shows debug messages during gameplay and creates a log in the Gamedata folder. If you have any trouble starting your level try running this and check the files that have warning messages.

Do that and see what results you get.

I didnt get no debug messages when I tried it. It shut down, too.

You need to look at a file called Bfront.log if sptest crashes.

Also, we need to know what file you're trying to change. It might be easier to create a new sides file. Rarely is it easier to just use a current sides folder.

Wait- I did a crapload of stuff...

AND IT FINALLY WORKED!
