Bespin: Cloud City (v0.95 beta) --New version April 4, 06

Do NOT post or upload this file to other sites. This is a gametoast exclusive beta test.
Features:
-Bespin Luke
-New heroes -- lots of them (IG-88, Lord Schizo, & Yun to name a few)
-Recon and Commander units for each faction (unlockable at 16 & 20 points)
-Conquest, 2-flag, 1-flag, Hero Assault and XL
-Two Hero modes. CW is jedi & soldiers, GCW is jedi/sith only
-Fixed the deathregions in the Carbon Freeze area
-Episode II Clones
-CW Heroes: Ki-Adi Mundi/Count Dooku
-GCW Heroes: Bespin Luke/Darth Vader
Known Bugs:
-It says "CIS" and "Republic" in GCW (will be fixed for 1.0)
-XL mode has same amount of units in-play/reinforcements.
--already fixed for next version
-It says "Clone Commander" for the red (captain) ARC.
--already fixed for next version
-The New Recon/Commander units don't work with award weapons *will cause some crashes* (fixed for new version)
-All Recon/Commander units use Republic weapons
-Commander's Guided Rockets missing *launcher is there but no rocket* (my own notes)
To Do: (for version 1.0)
-Do proper FPM arms for ARC Commander, ARC Recon, ARC Officer (not just white)
--already fixed for next version
-Fix any bugs you all find
-Set up deathregions for all wallhacks
-Get sounds in the Carbon Freezing area

Great stuff. CTF is very fun (by which I mean extremely brutal) and Bespin Luke really doesn't look that bad. However, he does have a problem in 2-flag CTF at least- he didn't have any weapons. He was swinging around like he had a lightsaber, but nothing was visible and it didn't hurt anyone, same for throw, and he didn't have push, so basically had to run around until i got killed.

Rends had that Second glitch in his map. If a remunge dioesn't fix he probably knows what to do, but who knows, the tools can be. . .finickity sometimes.
OR I just have access to a proper modtools.exe and I can't tell whats wrong . . . .WHY DOES A CRIPPLED PROGRAM HAVE A CD CHECK. . .
If I had the cd version I'd be saying "Why does a cd checked program need to be crippled ?? ?"

I suggest using the Pilot Luke model and skinning that instead.

I can fix Luke's problems. That's no big deal. Please continue pouring the bugs in becauase, like I said, I did this all in one night.
@ TheGuarder -- strange, that second shot doesn't look like that on my PC, but I'll look into them all. The first one looks as though the 'sunlight' is trying to get through the walls.
So you guys think Bespin Luke isn't that bad? Good. He's just a reskin of the old Imp Officer skin, but I think he turned out okay for temporary skin. Hopefully one of our great skinners can do a great Bespin skin.
Also, what do you guys think of the color of the level? I tried to get it to match the sky, but by TheGuarder's screens, it may look different on other PCs. If you guys would be kind to post a screenshot -- bug or not -- from your PC so I can check things out.

Is there a death zone in the carbon chamber hole in the conquest mode? I only tried it in Hero Assault and there you survive when you fall into it! The same is true for the shaft under the bridge.

Some problems I found...
I was playing conquest, and Luke spawned in without his lightsaber once.
In conquest the Victory timer started before I had even taken all the bases.
And inside the Carbon Freezing area, the characters turn all black.

Update: I just got a wicked Bespin Luke skin from Alex533. When I get home I'll put it in-game for the next release.

Tean', I guess you've ever heard about the existence of an
Episode IV "
Luke Skywalker's skin" which has been cut off from the
final release of
Star Wars Battlefront II... Furthermore, I'd not be surprised to see that one of the
Pandemic Studios employees registered on
GameToast still owns this
Targa file...
