Suddenly i realised this is a model too, so it would fit in that category

This topic is fine, WIP topics are for showing various stages of progress of what you're currently working on, usually until it's completed. The Model showcase topic is not meant for this, it's for showcasing your work(post a pic or two then move on).

I also want to remind you to stay ON-topic, there's been too much crap removed from this topic already.

You might be able to find a backup of your scene in:
C:\Softimage\XSI[version]\Data\XSI_SAMPLES\Backup

oh well, there was no back up in there so, thats the end of that modle

The whole model is gone? you never saved it?
