I did get a weird effect in the caves where I think there was a problem with the reflections.
yea, the units looked kind of blurry around the edges, no big deal though.
I didn't notice that Spar thing. I'll check it out. Does this happen when you are flying? That might be the problem...
no, i don't believe that i was flying when I tried 2 shoot the rockets, but...

My speaker finally worked on some parts of the speech of your voice, I like these quotes and surprisingly, they are Jango Fett-ish.
Quote #1: Enemy Spotted
Quote #2: Go go go

I've checked this out, and I haven't been able to find any problems with it. The rockets always seem to do damage (when I hit) and they always seem animated. I'm not sure what could be causing the problem for you--if you can figure out exactly what causes it for you I might be able to try again and see if I could figure out how to fix it. Could it possibly be just that you're hitting really close to your target, but just barely off?

Heh, yeah. I can't tell you how long I spent trying to figure out how to get those sounds to work. I eventually figured it out on my own, though.

I think my favorite line is "Somebody get that man a deathstick!" said sometimes when the player kills a lot of enemies. That's actually a line that was cut from the game that was going to be said by a Rebel soldier. I decided to rerecord it for my Mandalorians.

This map is really good. But a few issues..
1. invisible blocks everywhere. It gets really annoying when I unload a blaster into a force feild instead of my target.
2. The map is... a bit drab and repetitive. Maybe for the final you could add some more open spaces/props half sunken in the caves/etc.
3. Phase III Dark Trooper is the pwniest pwner to ever pwn pwnees. New favorite unit

well, I would see a big group of clones (they never learn...) , switch to rocket launcher shoot at the group, and only 1 or 2 of the 5 or 6 would go flying (instead of all of them).
also, it might just be my computer...

How strange... I don't have any invisible blocks at all! I don't understand what could be causing them on some peoples' computers. Do you have this problem with the Rhen Var tunnels in the SWBF1 Conversion Pack?
I'm absolutely bewildered. I don't think it can be fixed.

Yeah, I've been wondering why so many people have invisible blocks...there are a few but its in places I rarely venture in, and in places like the battlefield inside, I encounter nothing but AI. Strange....

Okay, I played the map again & the rockets worked fine!
Maybe my computer had used up all of its RAM...
Oh well

The final version is out! Thanks for your support, everybody!
http://files.filefront.com/Polus_Hidden ... einfo.html
A few AI updates (but not many) and I added command voices for the defilers. I figure they wouldn't say much during the battle unless directly spoken to.

I also lowered the download size by, like 30MB by removing some sides that I don't use that keep munging into the map folder. I don't know what was causing it, but I removed the massive files and the map still works perfectly.
I don't think I was able to solve the invisible wall thing--I still don't have any idea why some people have it and some don't.
Anyway, enjoy the map!

The new Dark Trooper is unbeleiveably cool!! I am so impressed that you used Darth Vader's stance and walk!
Have you removed the ewok's explosive?

the invisable wallsa are not walls i have stubied the renvar maps for along time and figured it out.
they are ice pillars taht apperar in the wrong place for unknown reasons.
if you use landmines and drop them on the wall you can see that they are pillars most of them i have not tested tho.
the invisable pillares happens in ALL renvar caves.

That makes sense... Perhaps the cave pieces are writing over the rhen var pillars, just like they do the blaster shots and lightsabers? In any case, there's nothing
I can do to fix that. Ah, well. My next map won't be using those tunnel pieces, that's for sure!

That Dark Trooper is all ]v['s doing. I just slowed him down a bit and changed his health.

And no, I didn't take out the ewok explosive--that's one of my favourite parts! I think it really gives the side a more FOC feel.

It's kinda disappointing that the ewok doesn't look like it's carrying a bomb, but could you please tell me how to activate it?

Okay, I just didn't see it on the weapons list when I select the little guy. Man, he's fun to use! I love taking down those giants with that little furball!

lol I gotta ask ]v[ if I can use the Dark Trooper phase 3 for my map. After all, it is Talay.
But anyways, I played this version today. I pasted a couple cool DT P3 pics in the Glamour shots thread.
I love this map. It is a keeper in my addon folder.
I also just adore the Zann Consortium.

You can find the Dark Trooper P3 files in
this topic. You might have to do a little digging.
