Can You assign Foley to a texture?

Or should I ask: How is the correct way to get your dirt textures to sound like dirt and your stone textures to sound like stone? Say you have a ground texture of stone placed how do you make it sound like stone when walked on. Or how does the game know it's stone? And not metal or dirt for that matter.

psych0fred was the sound man on BF1/BF2. I'll see if he can explain it. However, what most people do is just load the sound lvl from a world with similar foley to what they need.

That would work. Only with this new map I'm working on I have a few diff. land textures. Namely, dirt roads and stone pathways.

Teancum, when you say you can load sound from another level how do you do it. Whenever I replace the sound in the lua like yavin1cw or the default it will wind up with no sound
